Does anyone have any information on the M-Bus protocol that is used by Alpine in their car stereo equipment? I checked the archives and there are a couple postings from 1997-1998 that also ask about this, but I didn't find any responses, also nothing on google. I did find another M-Bus (Meter-Bus) protocol, though that doesn't seem to be what I need. What I want to do eventually is fool the stereo into thinking there's a CD-changer attached so that I can feed in music from my pic-based player (it won't allow you to access the auxillary input unless it gets some kind of a response from the cd-changer). All I know so far is that it is a one-wire type interface. If I can't find any more specific information I might try borrowing an oscilloscope from work and randomly guessing commands.
