I hope. :) I hate when I become aware of sounding like a smarmy know-it-all (cause half the time I know half what I'm talking about and those that know would rather laugh than set me straight), but people on the PIC list that would read a "speed of gravity" post probably would get more from a reference to the relativity faq: http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/physics/Relativity/GR/grav_speed.html than a crude metaphor. I'm tempted to rant about my favorite theories of Stochastic Electrodynamics and Puthoff's Polarizable-Vacuum (PV) representation of general relativity. These are probably good physics perspectives for engineers that understand technology better than arcane forms of math.
