I'm not very sure if this is a virus, but I have remove it even I had this exe file from 1999 in my computer and it seems it doesnt do nothing wrong... What I had and what I lost ? Please check and share your opinion with me. Vasile Subject: Fw: Virus alert Important: I was just informed that someone accidentally passed a virus on to me. My address book has, in turn, possibly been infected. Since you are in my address book, there is a chance that you will find the virus in your computer, too. The virus called jdbgmgr.exe is not detected by Norton or McAfee anti-virus systems. I have been told that this virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by the address book whether or not you send e-mail to your contacts. Luckily, it is easy to destroy. Here's how you check for the virus and rid it from your computer. 1. Go to Start, find or search option. 2. In the file/folders option, type the name jdbgmgr.exe 3. Be sure you search your C: drive, all sub-folders, and any other drives you may have. 4. Click "find now". 5. The virus has a teddy bear icon with the name jdbgmgr.exe DO NOT OPEN IT. 6.Go to edit(on the menu bar), choose "select all" to highlight the file without opening it. 7. Go to file (on the menu bar) and select "delete". The file then will go to the Recycle Bin. 8. Go to the Recycle Bin and delete it there as well. IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, PLEASE CONTACT EVERYONE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK SO THAT THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOKS. To do this: 1. Open a new e-mail message 2. Click the icon of the address book next to the "To" 3. Highlight every name and add to "Bcc". 4. Copy this message, beg forgiveness, enter subject, paste to e-mail, send. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
