P.S. Two years ago I crawled around in the attic and ran Cat5 to all the rooms. I had eight computers including my server networked to a hub and Webshuttle as my dialup. One lightning strike at my neighbors house took out the hub, ALL the network cards, and two motherboards. I had more than adequate lightning protection on everything but somehow it made it to the network. Maybe EMP. I ripped out all Cat5 and went 802.11b wireless networking and have never had a problem since. I took a direct hit this summer and lost over $5000 worth of power inverters and the satellite dish, but the network survived on wireless. I now have upgraded to 802.11a and have 100mhz networking everywhere including carrying my notebook computer down to my pond during the summer where I can sit on the bank, watch my ebay sales and pull in 8 lb bass all evening. http://www.vvalley.com/valleymemories/morepix.htm (top pix) Rick Andre Abelian wrote: > Hi to all engineers, > > Sorry if I didn't use proper tag. > I am building 500 s.f. 2 rooms and bathroom and > Finally the frame work is done and I was wondering > Before I put drywalls on if any body has any idea > To add some electronics in there like wires, sensors etc. > Any recommendation will appreciate. > > Andre. > -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
