Hi, I'm working on a project to display low res video (64 x 48 pixels) on a custom built LED screen. A series of pics would be the middle men recieving the video from a computer (hopefully a mac), and varying the intensity of each LED accordingly. For the screen I'm trying out high current latches and multiplexers to drive the display in greyscale. My bigger concern is acquiring the video. How might this be done? Originally I tried using the USART but 56 kbps was too slow. I've been thinking about using USB with the FTDI chip but its drivers are only capable of 3 kbps on a mac. So I'm wondering if anyone has done something similar, perhaps using USB, VGA connection or some other method. Do you know of some good documention or chips?
