Just to let you kow that Turkey is a muslim country and santa visits = here every year; however, he is the symbol of the new year and usually = appears the last day of the year. I guess it takes time to get here. = :-) I also heard from reliable sources that this year won't be an = exception. When I was studying in the U.S. I found out that turkey is the preferred = food in thanksgiving, whereas we (Turkish people) usually eat turkey on = new years eve. It was always interesting to me. I wish everone a merry xmas and soon, a happy new year... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Justin Grimm" To: Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 5:46 AM Subject: [OT]: Santa Sense > Something I got today > > > > > There are approximately two billion children (persons under 18) in = the > > world. > > However, since Santa does not usually visit children of Muslim, = Hindu, > > Jewish or Buddhist religions, this reduces the workload for = Christmas > > night to 15% of the total, or 378 million (according to the = population > > reference bureau). > > > > At an average (census) rate of 3.5 children per household, that = comes to -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
