source= http://www.piclist.com/postbot.asp?id=piclist\2002\12\06\114949a Notice that PICList.com is ALSO a collaborative web site with similar features... it is also not as complex to post a comment or question or code, etc... and doesn't require registration for that. It accepts direct HTML code (which may be more complex for some people, but at least you are learning something standard) and there are some other features... for example PICList.com allows you to post PRIVATE content, which ONLY YOU can see. When another user accesses the page, that content is removed. And you can host pages that you "own" and if anyone posts a question or comment on your pages, you get an email and can approve or delete the posting... Just use the little form at the bottom to add a link to an existing page by entering a title and including a valid file name in the link field. You can edit your pages in HTML source or with a WYSIWYG editor. Also, if an existing page is not "owned" by someone, you can click on a link and take over the page. So if there ARE people with too much time, I would really love to have some help editing and maintaining some of the pages. And PICList.com is actually a part of a larger web site called http://www.massmind.org which has a broader scope... including other processors, PC software and hardware, and even an "Other" page were you are welcome to discuss any damn thing you like. Including giant frogs at McDonald's. If there are features at everthing2.com that you would really like to see at PICList.com, please let me know. --- James Newton: PICList.com webmaster, former Admin #3 mailto:jamesnewton@piclist.com 1-619-652-0593 phone http://www.piclist.com/member/JMN-EFP-786 PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
