The code generator CAN do that at 16 bits, but you must reduce
the Maximum Error percent to a value that is more representative
of 16 bit accuracy. The 0.05% default value generates code that
makes an approximation. I tried with successivly lower values and
got resonable (if not dattaloish) code.

Also, the constant value should be as accurate as possible. e.g.
1/257 = 0.00389105058365758754863813229571984
