but you'll need the nema 0183, document that describes the 'words' used
by the gps receivers, - but in general, you send the gps a command via
serial to request a word of your choice, the words contain lat lon time
heading
or whatever you need, and then the gps sends you back the position data
via serial port.

so it's serial port in and back out, and then strip out what you're after,
and
do with it what you wish.
