Would anyone have any input as to which power supply to get for an "El Cheapo" Pic Programmer? The programmer is the one from "Programming an Customizing PICmicro Mocrocontrollers", by Myke Predko (2nd ed.). I'm using the board from the book, but I've changed a couple of the components per his web site (http://www.myke.com/elcheapo.htm). I've looked around quite a few stores in my area looking for a suitable power supply, but no one carries anything over a 12 Volt (DC) power supply. I've found some supplies from Jameco, listed below. I think the best one to get would be the 15 Volt, 1000 mA regulated supply and the use some resistors to get the current down. I just wanted to check first and see if anyone had any direct experience supplying power to the board, or any suggestions. Voltage Current (mA) -------- --------------- 15 500 15 500 15 600 15 900 15 1000 15 1000 15 1000(regulated) 16 500 Thanks in advance for you help!
