How well does your partner put up with you using the house as a workshop,
    bits of electronic components getting trodden round the building

We're about even.  I've got the electronics parts, and she's got yarn.
I've got model rocket parts, she's got fabric.  I've got the
oscilloscope, metal lathe and assorted hand tools, she's got a sewing
machine, a couple of sergers, and an alarming collection of knitting
needles and crochet hooks.  I'm falling a bit behind in the book &
magazine collection, but I've got the explosives.

Of course, this requires a large house...  Can't wait for the kids to
move out!
