Experienced users will spot the mistake immediately. But since beginners are likely to choose 12F629/675, I thought I would keep them informed. On page 68 of the 41190a.pdf (12F629/675 Data Sheet) file, the figure 9-18 (Typical ISCP connection) shows GP0 connected to Clock pin and GP1 to Data pin of the programmer. It should be the other way around. The text by the side of the figure reads as follows and this also needs to be corrected. "GP0 becomes the programming clock and GP1 becomes the programming data." Microchip people have been nice enough to respond, saying that one should check the errata for the 12F629/675 parts available on their website and that the correction will be carried out in the next revision of the data sheet expected early next year.
