A couple of years ago I was idly gawping out the window and the crossbar fell off the power pole just across the road, taking the wires with it (which I'm guessing are 11,000V). Spectacular, but alas over far too quickly. A couple of streets blacked out for a while right on dinner time, which wasn't so good.
