Not in the older suburbs - still plenty of poles to jump out and
hit motorists. Sometimes entertaining. A couple of years ago
I was idly gawping out the window and the crossbar fell off the
power pole just across the road, taking the wires with it (which
I'm guessing are 11,000V). Spectacular, but alas over far too
quickly.  A couple of streets blacked out for a while right on
dinner time, which wasn't so good. Surprised it stayed up there
so long actually, thoroughly rotten piece of wood
