All true. On the other hand, the goodies were toast the moment the thief saw them. Realistically, we have two choices here. Do we let the insurance cover the car and contents (eating the deductible) or do we do something to discourage the thief (perhaps making it easier for law enforcement to aid in said discouragement) from doing it again (probably also letting the insurance do its work)?
