Like wise in thanks to Olin. It certainly helped me in my first PIC project which has 5 PIC's talking on an isolated I2C bus, with a number of other I2C devices as well. For your home install you may be better off going down to your local computer fair or whatever and see if you can get a copy of NT4 workstation.
