> I know all that, I sell my own programmer :-) Yes, I know, I realized after I sent the mail, but I don't afraid of flames! List is for learning. > My programmer erases a code protected 16F62x chip, but my PICstart+ > won't. Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem. I have the > latest firmware and MPLAB. After I: have got my fingers crossed, hung a lemon over the programmer, made a black cat cross under a ladder and made it jump over a broken mirror,... etc; I did a simple test to assure that when you program with CP set to ALL position, you can't read the device; but if you push "Erase Flash Device" with CP at OFF position you can reprogram the device. Also you can do it without erasing first the device. Same thing happens when you protect the EEPROM. So I don't have the same problem.Lucky me! BTW, I upgrade my PS+ firmware to 3.00.40 with PS+ device programmer v2.70.40, which it comes with MPLAB v5.70.40. Good luck, Tony Dennis Crawley Argentina. PS: I have used many of your lines and concepts since I got contact with your codes at PicPoint.com and at a local MCHP BBS ('96?) So I'm gald to personally say Thank you!
