Set your printer (or font) to 128 char per line
mode (often called terminal mode?) instead of the
default 80 char/line. MPLAB has a variable for
page length, I think mine is set to 93 lines/page.
This gives a very nice readable .asm printout
on A4 page.

Using acrobat for text-only printing sounds like
the *worst* idea!
