Anyone have any info on how AC3 encoding is done?
Or, multichannel multiplexing of any other sort.

I am thinking of a bunch of PIC's working in paralell/series to take SP/DIF
signals and multiplex into single AC3 / Multichannel stream.

My thought is that if you take a 20 MHz chip and crank it to 25 or 30, you
might have enough power if one windows the data and make more work in
paralell.

I want to do this so I can have 5.1 or similar from my comp to my reciever
digitally transmitted.  Would be so cool.  Not to mention practical.  And,
it would infringe on a dozen patents or more.  I just love that!
