There is a section on this site that deals specifically with converting LCD output routines to display on a TV screen. Features: * 16F628 microcontroller for flexible development. * STV5730A on screen display IC gives 28 characters by 11 row screen * 128 text and graphics characters defined in ROM * Text over video or self generated video signal * RS232 interface via DS275 & PIC USART * PIC i/o lines allow easy interface to sensors, keypads, etc * Power supply 5V dc or 9 - 12dc via on board regulator * Example software * Enclosures, accessories and connectors available FYI to the best of my knowledge the STV5730A is still widely available in both Europe and the US. Apparently the decision to cease production was reversed or at least suspended by ST.
