Are you sure its the OS? Is this is a new computer or just OS upgrade? I had the same problem running my schematic package (Schema) also DOS based on a Compaq I bought. I just plain doesn't like the video on the computer. Works OK on other newer faster computers, just not THAT Compaq, including a new Compaq I bought for my wife's mother but decided to keep for myself.
