That is what I do for more complex deisgns that cannot be prototyped at home. Unfortunately the printer almost always has 'scale to page' ticked on his Mac and I have to put a ruler on the sheet and check it. I've had 5% off (it's ok if you have no large parts) and I shut up but with 40 pin chips you have to be exact.
