On Win2K pro and Win98, all you do is hit Alt-Printscreen and a bitmap image of the window with focus is copied to the clipboard. You can then paste it into your favorite image editing program. Photoshop knows what is on the clipboard so when you create a "new" file, the default size exactly matches the clipboard image.
