Seems this is a common thread here and heavily covered a few months back. I too wanted to move beyond sawing pcbs and asked here. One good suggestion was Tin Snips--the large kind. I tried it on common pcb remanents that I had and it worked fine. My snips are heavy and long, about 18 inches, with straight edged blades.
