I really liked the socket idea, but couldn't find a socket to fit (locally), so I experimented -- scraped off the black coating, and was able to solder to it quite easily. No matter what the coating, I guess the PCB was still made in the "usual" way (copper traces), so it was just a matter of getting to that layer. Cheers, -Neil. Peter L.
