Hello,

Does anyone know of any RS232 to TTL Serial IC that can operate at speeds of
1Mbps+?  I am aware of the ones at Maxim, but unfortunately they are not
available through Digikey.  Hoping to find something that is available in
DIP packaging so I can prototype with it on a breadboard.

This brings up another question I have.  How to people (hobbyist) prototype
with surface mount parts?
