Probably only works with soft materials and high speed/low diameter but I HAVE seen real router bits that have a single excentric tooth. The shape of the fluted part of a drill bit makes it work even without fluid (self cleaning tip). Since the tip becomes extremely sharp when breaking it extra sharpening is not needed. When it wears off break some more off it or replace it with a fresh bit.
