Probably only works with soft materials and high speed/low diameter but I HAVE seen real router bits that have a single excentric tooth. The shape of the fluted part of a drill bit makes it work even without fluid (self cleaning tip). Since the tip becomes extremely sharp when breaking it extra sharpening is not needed.
