I haven't been following the recent MPLAB thread, but I've just
downloaded 6.0.20.0 version and installed.

It refuses to open ASM files with content - in fact it crashes=
 with a
fault in srcvw3.dll according to XP. If I change the file type=
 ending
to anything other than dot asm it will load. It will also load if=
 the
dot asm file is empty, but not with code.

I have re-installed and wiped registry between times even=
 disabled
ZoneAlarm and AGV anti virus s/w

Weird!
