You really don't know what you are missing out on.....I avoided the series up until about a month ago, looked a lil short for my tastes, I hate just getting into a book then its over. But once I read the first one the second -fourth were very quickly followed through with. Heh. Don't you have moral objections to books that incorporate "read me" spells? I wouldn't worry about Fudge, though. Wizard law enforcement seems to leave a lot to be desired. :-( BillW, who's read the first three books something like 2.5 times (once to check them out, once to my eldest daughter, and a half-time (alternating chapters with the wife - rather odd) to the middle son. It's also interesting in that it resulted in the first movie in a long time that really made an effort not to piss off people who had read the book.
