DS1306 is an RTC if I remember right. If tis then the clock wont start
until a bit in the control reg is set and then it works properly was
bout 3 yrs ago I was playing with one ov these .

Has anybody used any of these devices with a PIC?  We're having all
kinds of fun -

the DS1306 xtal doesn't appear to be oscillating
the values read back out of the chip don't make any sense

I haven't gotten to test the MAX and ADC parts yet - hopefully they will
be cleaner.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
