> Education is what you do to *yourself*. 'Education', when I singly I quote it as I did, means "The Established and Entrenched Educational (university) Establishment". And I'm pointing more squarely at the 'publish or perish' atmosphere that exists in acedemia where every little "jot and tittle" is thoroughly characterized, studied and sole ownership of the idea 'claimed' (via much fanfare) by those doing the research which ultimately is published in journals which have limited readership ... whereas most of us with real-world practical experience have seen MANY of these phenoms in our work - but lack the time and money to persue it singularly as researchers do who solicit funds from various trusts or gov't funding ... I have nothing against research nor it's publication nor the notification of the public of it's existance - but *some* of it, I do believe, is vastly overblown in importance, scope and interpretated 'meaning' ...
