Certainly Unix and Linux systems get hacked every day. I believe you will find, however, that hacked Windows machines are far more common, and there are many more vulnerabilities to be found there. What I said was that I personally had never had a UNIX machine get hacked, either at home or at work, but have seen multiple instances of Windows servers getting hacked.
