Oops I forgot something important: You need to connect the circuit to a DC 12V source too, and read the AB voltage in DC, then when measuring in AC substract this voltage from the readout, otherwise the readout will be way off imho. This is due to the dc resistance of the coil. The method above removes the dc resistance (well, almost), from the end result.
