Hi, I've searched the PicList FAQ trying to find information on this particul= ar subject, but without luck. I think I have problems with MCLR of my 16F877. The PIC is on a prototype board, with an ICD connector on it (pins of the connector are RB6, RB7, V= SS, VDD and VPP, I don't need low voltage programming). At first, I tied the MCLR pin of the PIC to VDD with a 10K resistor, but the ICD failed to wor= k reliably. I changed to a 100K resistor, and now the ICD programs, reads a= nd debugs correctly. But the PIC don=B4t initialice without the ICD. The ICD demo board from Microchip comes with a 47K (R20) resistor between MCLR and VDD. I've tried it too, without success. Any ideas? Thanks, Alvaro. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways. See http://www.piclist.com/#archives for details.
