Yes, Basic or C will difinitely make your life easier in the long run. 1. If you are going to do a lot with PICs, learn assembler then learn C 2. If you are going to be a hobbyist only, learn PICBasic. It will get you up and running with the least learning curve. OR even use a Stamp. 50 smackers spent on a Stamp is money well spent if your project acutally gets finished in a weekend. 3. If you ever want to do this for a living, learn C definitely. 4. At any rate, use assembler to get something really basic to run like a LED blinky. You won't regret learning how the PIC ticks programming right down on bare metal with assembler. -- Lawrence Lile Alex Sent by: pic microcontroller discussion list 10/01/02 10:44 AM Please respond to pic microcontroller discussion list To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU cc: Subject: Antenna Controller eneral how to do it. One last question. I have been using assembler and the Epic programmer, but would Basic or C make my life easier especially with bigger projects. I have some programming experience with both.
