I prototype almost everything out of Mouser, Jameco and Digikey in that order. I like Mouser now that they sell PICs, which I have been bugging them to do for 7 years. They tend to have all of the brand names I like to specify around, whereas Digikey (still a good supplier) has too much panasonic and not enough other brand names. Jameco are the underdogs, and they really focus on the hobbyist and small prototype shop which is me. They have Microengineering labs prototype boards, which I like, and also PICs. Newark (www.newark.com) is a giant supplier with a lot of depth of stock and a 3" thick catalog. If you can't find it in Newark it probably isn't available. -- Lawrence Lile Dale Botkin Sent by: pic microcontroller discussion list 09/30/02 02:58 PM Please respond to pic microcontroller discussion list To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU cc: Subject: Re: [OT]: Source for components In the US: www.digikey.com www.mouser.com www.jameco.com www.jdr.com www.bgmicro.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
