They don't like heat, i've had to replace a
lot of defective ones in older equipment. They
give off a "fishy" stink when unsoldered, and
ESR testing shows they are VERY BAD with ESR.
Not all stink, but all that are exposed to hot
working conditions risk this fault.

As a minimum, test "recovered" parts for ESR before
keeping them.
