I purchase the multichip programmer from Talking Electronic. Because my
PC do not have the 9 pins serial port. I am using the modem serial com
port 2. The modem port is 24 pins and it parallel out the 9 pins
connector. I connect the modem parallel out 9 pin female connector to
the multichip 9 pins male connector. I start to try up some project. I
use IC-PROG 1.05. When I burn the PIC 16F84A, the error message is

                Programming Failed at Code Address 0000h !

I try to erased all, it is successful. When I check by Read All, the
data show all 0000 at address 0000h. But, when I do blank check, the
error message is
                Device not blank at address 0000h !


Can you help advice what shall I do to test out.
