I think what you need is a look at Bob Ammermans and Roman Blacks=

bit code that is in the archives.

I have posted somewhere (haven't the faintest idea where on the=
 list)
some C code using the algorithm.

I can email this to you, though it won't be in C2C but AFAIR it
should be easy to convert it.

Or you can wait with bated breath ,because it will be on the
competition site (hopefully) once I get off my butt and design=
 the
PCB.
