-----Original Message----- From: Dale Botkin To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU Date: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 4:35 PM Subject: ALL: [ADMIN]: Annual list cleanup Hi all, In an effort to clean up the list subscriber database and reduce the number of error messages seen by the wonderful folks at MIT who host this list at no cost to us, it's time for our first annual list cleanup. This will probably be an annual event from now on. It shouldn't take much of your time. On 9/12 (at least here in the US), the server will send a renewal message to every list subscriber. You will have 15 days to respond to this message to stay on the list. If you haven't replied within 15 days, you will be dropped and will have to re-subscribe. This should catch all the email accounts that are inactive, people who are auto-deleting all list traffic rather than unsubscribing, etc. As I said, it should be low or no impact. If you respond to the message as directed and still find you've been deleted after 9/27, let me or one of the other admins know and we'll see if we can help, but I don't expect any major problems. It's part of what we need to do if this list is going to continue in its present form. Dale (PICList Admin #4) -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
