Hi I have build some computers around one VIA C3 mobo ... That one (a PCCHIPS model) have a soldered CPU (a BGA package), so it can't be replaced :-( But if your mobo uses a socketed one, than I think it is replaceable by another S370 processor (like the celeron or P3).
