Thanks for the suggestion Clayton but I'm not sure it's as simple
as that. I've found utilities that will undelete HDD files but none
for recovering CD files. There may be one out there. If there isn't
is it possible to get into the CD with an editor and manually copy
data blocks back to the HDD ? How would I then re-enable the
file ? The only experience I had with this was a long time ago on
the old Commodore 1541 drive. You could get into the FAT with
a sector editor and look at attributes and block links to reconstruct
or alter files/data
