It appears that because of safety considerations, these are not available without going through a specialized distributor that packages them with safety circuitry. I'm working on a project that might use a Panasonic 1.8AH cell. Someone else on the project has talked with AVT at 303 409 3712 about getting the batteries. I believe they can supply them.
