Limited in the sense that it does not aupport full I2C protocol, but is intended for I2C EEPROM comms. It's not even optimized yet (call it first beta release, working on ACK polling) but it does work. Project started by modifying the HiTech's sample code. I could never get it to work properly, even after fixing the stop condition. Plus they clearly warn you of the RMW bug with their sample code. So it's pretty much a rewrite.
