I have made a IR detection of hands in a close space (cube of 10inch). I think it is more difficult than in an open space, because of the reflections. As emitter, an IR LED, 38khz modulated with PWM of an PIC16LF872, combined with an output who delivers data at 600 bauds As receiver, a TSOP1838SS3V, who demodulated and has a auto gain control, from VISCHAY It works fine, once i have respect the signal gap time of the photomodule. If your power is 5V: use 2 serial led with one resistor to enhance your perf.. ask me for the datasheet of the photomodule... ____________________ Samuel BOUQUET Sociiti INOV'TRONIK 8/10 rue Emile Sehet ZA des chataigniers 95150 Taverny ____________________ Tel: (33) 1 39 95 29 50 Fax: (33) 1 39 95 74 10 s.bouquet@inovtronik.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you.
