I just thought I'd start a little more trouble. I WAS in a Grumman Aerospace plant in Bethpage, NY in 1969/70 that was set-up as a movie studio. It contained the original full scale mock-up of the L.E.M. (Lunar Excursion Module as it was then called) and some other misc. gear and equipment spread out on a bed of very fine gray gravel and rock "imported" from some western desert. (I managed to get away with a piece of 'moon rock', which has long since been lost - my proof that the place really existed. There were two large TV cameras of the size and type that were used for broadcast television there. The entire set-up covered somewhere between 50 & 100,000 sq. ft. of floor. When I questioned it's purpose, I was told it was used for the "simulations" that were broadcast during blackout periods. I would really like to know how they simulated the astronaut's weightlessness!!! yuk yuk....
