That came over much better, could display it with Acrobat from
Mozilla.

In the output area I see several ULN200x-s applied. To me it seems
more obvious to use ULN2803/4 with 8 ports each to 'see' also the
8th port of the register. Allows the use of the decimal point of
7-segment displays (as extra boolean indicator), and the use of
eight discrete LEDs.
