Hello Chris & PIC.ers, One of my best-sellers use these LCDs, with an I2C interfacing chip, the PCF8574. The PIC motherboard then just supplies I2C synchronous serial to this LCD module, a front-panel mimic I/O and some other stuff. 4lines: 0v, 5Vdc, SCL and SDA. It's in-house, but if you want info on it, ask.. best regards, John >Date: Mon, 19 Aug 2002 12:25:30 -0400 >From: Chris Loiacono >Subject: [OT]: Addressable Serial LCD? > >OK, sorry, forgot the tag...... >Does anyone know of a serial LCD, preferably 2x16 that is addressable? >Once again, I have to expand an existing design where I will have to share >the TX line with another device. >My options a seem to be to design and fab my own or find an existing one. >The volume is low on this, so I would prefer to find one available >off-the-shelf. > >Appreciatively, (hmmm...I like this word - I may have to wear it out for > e-mail from the desk of John Sanderson, JS Controls.
