They have cheap throwaway ones, (IIRC they were us$25 in Qty. of 100) they had 1Mb ram, rs-232 interface, 160 X 160 pixel gray scale LCD. Not sure how well any LCD would do in the sun if left out. The device never went ahead, as we could not find any "reasonably" priced LCD's that could survive the AU outback sun lol (they all seemed to fade and have sections stuck on after 6 months in the sun (continuous) just to do an extended lifetime test).
