I picked up some starter kits quite cheaply from a Homebase store that was having a sale with the intention of automating my house, and modifying US modules to expand the system at reasonable cost. However, after experimenting with them for a while I can see why they are cheap (at least in the US). The basic modules have no facility for reading back status and they seem to be quite prone to false triggering on noise spikes. Coupled with the communications problems that all the switch mode PSU's in a modern home can cause, I don't think they will ever be a very popular option in the UK, Regards Mike -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
